A user-centric approach to enhance accessibility and navigation
The Crown Estate, is a global leader in offshore wind and marine data, and they launched the Marine Data Exchange in 2013 to manage seabed planning. Over time, the volume of data outgrew the original site, making difficult for users to gather valuable information and navigate the website with ease.
I led the User Experience of this project, conducting one-to-one interviews with key stakeholders and end users. I crafted user personas and generated user journey maps to visually identify pain points and potential opportunities. After completing the research phase, the team transitioned to an iterative process, involving the creation of wireframes/rapid prototypes and conducting user testing. Subsequently, we advanced to developing final assets and collaborated with engineers in the build review phase.
